Irish Coffee

Joe Sheridan barman at Shannon airport (in the south of Ireland), has gone down in history for having invented, in the 40s, Irish Coffee, the most famous recipe featuring Irish whiskey.

As waits were quite long, especially during the winter, Joe came up with the brilliant idea of offering passengers a new and original way of warming up. Something special was needed to restore both passengers and pilots. Joe believed that Irish whiskey, together with black coffee, cane sugar and cold cream would do the trick.

And this is how customers, enthused by the delightful sensation of hot coffee and whiskey drunk through the cold cream, made Joe and Irish Coffee famous throughout the world.
